Found a newer plugin to resolve some of the issues. Still can’t figure out why WP shows zero comments even when comments exist. I suppose some flag got toggled somewhere that I might find. It’s just an annoyance. I got my nasty remote procedure call tweaks working, I know, they’re bad things.
I’ll be taking a couple of days this weekend to unwind. Taking the trailer off to a campground with books,journal, and guitar. No connectivty wired or wireless, and that’s a good thing. I need a breather. I may actually write some things that get posted after I return, but don’t count on it.
I haven’t been real invested here lately., The Realtime VoIP Community has been very busy. I’m doing lo of interviews and podcast things that I focus in on and forget to write here. I still read all the things I’ve always read (and more), but don’t seem to spend nearly as much time writing anything of substance here. This has become a repository of notes, Infosec news, and minutia to a large extent.
At least things seem to be working again for the most part.

El Skype Flash Phone, que es de todo menos un teléfono y no está aprobado de ninguna forma por Skype, te costará 60 euros en su versión de 128 Mbytes o 68 euros la de 256 Mbytes. Según Brett Moore, un investigador de la firma de seguridad Security-Assessment.com, Skype para Windows tiene un agujero de seguridad que puede hacer que un atacante se baje un fichero de tu PC sin tu permiso. Antes de que salgáis corriendo a descargar la última versión de Skype que soluciona el problema, atención a las condiciones que tienen que cumplirse para que este agujero pueda explotarse:
1) que el usuario de Skype se conecte a una página web de mentiras que ha puesto en marcha el atacante,
2) que el atacante sepa la localización y nombre exacto del fichero que quiera transferir
3) que el atacante te añada a su lista de contactos.
Vamos, que para que se bajen un fichero sin tu permiso, el atacante tiene que ser a) tu pareja sentimental, b) un miembro de tu familia o c) tu suegra. Alternativamente, el usuario atacado tiene que ser a) idiota, b) tonto del boto, o c) un imbecil redomado. En cualquier caso, si utilizas Skype 2.0 o 2.5 para Windows, descarga ya la última revisión (2.0.x.105 para Skype 2.0 o 2.5.x.79 para la Skype 2.5).
